It is our extreme pleasure to raise muscovy ducks here on the farm. Of all the birds we’ve raised, the muscovy has become a farmer favorite around here. They are a large breed duck native to Mexico, and do not quack like the other breeds raised for meat. They love to forage food off the land, and are smart when dealing with predators. The product after harvest is also a favorite here at the farm house. The large breast are like a lean red elk steak. We also LOVE curries or soups made from these ducks. Basically, anything you make with this meat is excellent. Our ducks are raised on pasture in coops that are moved daily. This gives them access to bugs, grass, fresh air, and sunshine. They are supplemented with a high protein, corn and soy free, non-gmo, organic, local sourced and milled mash.
