We offer both Cornish X’s, Rangers, and a handful of other heritage birds. The cornish x is a double breasted, white meat heavy bird. They are fast growers, and often used for large scale commercial production. But we’ve taken the flock out of the dark factory barns and put them on pasture to behave as chickens should. Rangers and other heritage breeds are dark meat heavy and slow growers. Because of this slow growth they are on pasture longer and develop a great flavor. All of our chickens are raised on pasture in moveable coops that are moved daily. This gives the birds access to bugs, grass, fresh air, and sunshine. They are supplemented with a high protein, corn and soy free, non-gmo, organic, local sourced and milled mash.
