On Spontaneous Farm we love farming, we love the land, and we love quality food that benefits health overall. In a time when fossil fuel based, factory farming is the norm in our country, it’s nice to have other options in our food supply. We started studying humane and sustainable practices in college, and have continued our education and implemented these practices into the work over the years. We embrace the biodynamic style farming that Joel Salatin pioneered, and is now growing in popularity nationwide. When animals are treated humanely and more as they would be in the wild, their lives are happier, richer, and more productive for both their health, the surrounding ecosystem’s health, and the quality of the final product. Now that’s something to get excited about!
